Tillandsia gardneri is native to Trinidad, Tobago, Colombia, Brazil, and Venezuela, where it thrives as an epiphyte on trees in dry tropical climates.
This species is characterized by soft, feather-like leaves that are a silvery sage color, forming a fountain-like shape. The T. gardneri produces a delicate inflorescence from its center, showcasing a pink bloom similar to that of T. houston. Found growing in trees in the wild, the T. gardneri can achieve a symmetrical appearance when properly displayed. Thanks to its fuzzy, trichome-covered leaves, the plant is able to endure higher light levels and less frequent watering.
